Green Turtle -- Chelonia mydas

Found in shallow waters (where algae and "sea grasses", which form its major food grow) around the Abu Dhabi coastline. Probably nests on isolated sandy beaches and offshore islands, laying upwards of 100 eggs in June and July. May be decreasing in the Gulf.
