The Emirates Natural History Group was founded in 1976. Annual Subscription is Dh. 30 for single or Dh. 50 for family membership. Membership forms are available at Monday evening meetings at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Centre or on application to the Treasurer (Home Tel. 331010). The Editor is always pleased to receive material for publication relevant to the natural history of the UAE and general Gulf Region. Occasional articles from the wider Middle East context are considered. The purpose of the Bulletin is to create and to maintain a collection of recordings and analysis, plus local information on natural history topics. Recordings may be made through the relevant Recorder. Views expressed are those of the authors alone. The cover motif is of a tiny gold bull excavated from the early second millennium grave at Qattarah, a suburb of Al Ain. The original is on display at Al Ain Museum. Associated Groups exist in Al Ain (P.O. Box 16027) and in Dubai (P.O. Box 9292). The Bulletin is for private circulation to members only. |
