Rain in Al Ain

It does not rain often in Al Ain so when it does, it is a cause for celebration . . . and photography!

A roundabout near the Crown Prince's Palace is flooded	Residential areas were flooded for several hours, some for days	Motorists had to adjust their driving habits to deal with flooded streams and slick roads	Fossil Valley looked like a lake
Some roundabouts were impassable for small vehicles	Storm sewers, where they existed, were unable to deal with the water	Wadis in the city carried the water towards the main oasis
